Jess, our Principal, keeps appointment slots every Tuesday for a chat about your child's dancing: progress, classes, opportunities, any worries, or just a catch-up. Book a slot on the whiteboard in reception.
Secure entry
Our studio has a secure entry system. Dancers in Inter 2 and above get their own key-card lanyard so they can come in safely when reception isn't staffed.
Reception
Tricia is on reception on Mondays and Saturdays and answers emails. On Tuesdays to Thursdays, a member of the teaching team covers the desk.
The Jazzy J's PTA
Our new PTA raises money for equipment and opportunities, and is building a scheme to help families who need a little extra support with dance costs. We want as many children as possible to have these chances, whatever their circumstances.

Frequently asked questions
How young can my child start?
Our Baby Ballet & Tap class on Saturday mornings welcomes children from age 2. Mini classes start at 4.
How does the £20 trial work?
Pick any class and come for three weeks in a row for £20 in total. The three sessions need to be the same class type, in consecutive weeks. Book online through Pebble.
My child has never danced before. Is that OK?
Absolutely. Most of our dancers started as complete beginners. Classes are grouped by age and ability, and our teachers are brilliant at helping shy children settle.
Is Jazzy J's right for a child with additional needs?
Yes. We're an inclusive school, and children with additional needs dance in our regular classes alongside everyone else. Get in touch before your trial to tell us a little about your child, and we'll help them settle in.

Get in touch and we'll point you to the right one. Tell us your child's age and any experience and we'll suggest a class or two to try.
Do they have to take exams?
No, exams are optional. Dancers who want them can work towards exams across four recognised syllabi (ISTD, RAD, IDTA and the Royal Ballet School Affiliate programme), with a pathway tailored to them.
Are boys welcome?
Of course. Boys dance with us in every style, from baby ballet to our competition teams.
Do you have classes for adults?
Yes. On Monday evenings we run Adult Beginner Tap, Adult Tap and Adult Musical Theatre. No experience needed for the beginner class.
How do I book and pay?
